Why isn't McConnell in that video??? He did exactly the same thing his counterpart Reid did. They both flip flopped on the issue. Like most everything else they've done to thwart Blacky McBlack, Republican obstruction has just gone off the deep end. We can count these things and make intelligent observations.

During our nations first 220 years and 43 presidents, 86 presidential nominations were filibustered. In Obama's 4+ years, 82 presidential nominations were filibustered. Gotta have some real serious bias to look at those numbers and think they are in any way fair and just.... Or live in the bubble

I agree with you.

I would love to see a politician have some morals and do whats right, not what the majority party wants. The flip flopping needs to stop on both sides. This video is only relevant because of what was done yesterday. The republicans threatened to do it but never took it to vote. Its almost like these people dont know their words are being recorded and will be played again. The Pelosi statement and Bidens was gold. Im sure there are videos of the republicans doing the same.

Bill Maher had a blog post yesterday (I know he's the devil) which is what I think we should all be up in arms about.

I was thinking about how relentless Mitt Romney used to be about the horrible, crushing 35 percent American corporate tax rate. This was never remotely true. No companies actually pay that -- according to the Government Accountability Office, the average effective corporate tax rate is about 12.6 percent -- but it is the rule on paper.USA Today looked at Standard & Poor’s 500 top companies and found that, for the last 12 months, 57 of them have an effective tax rate of zero. They include: Verizon, MetLife, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Public Storage, Agilent Technologies, Seagate Technology, Broadcom, and News Corp. You know, the guys who own Fox News. The channel that’s obsessed with lazy, good-for-nothing takers who don’t have any skin in the game.

Talk about welfare The problem with this is small companies like ours don't have the $$ to buy these tax breaks. If we don't get the money out of politics our kids are fucked and a lot of you younger people too.

Yup. The karl roves of the world need to go away. Career politicians need to go away. Term limits are needed for law makers. If a term limit is good enough for the POTUS, its good enough for the law makers. How do "57 " buy tax breaks for just themselves? Wouldn't the law on paper work across the board?

Because they employ the Lobbyist who buy the loopholes in the tax code and hire big dollar accountants to make sure they take advantage of every loophole they've bought and paid for.
