Default Portable Mobile Radio

At work we have a few Motorola Mobile Radios that I'd like to set up to be portable, kinda like Gone2baja had in the ammo cans.

Anyone know how he did those, what was used for power, or any other ideas? We have a few trucks with permanently mounted mobile radios, but we'd like to configure a few portable units that can be moved between vehicles.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Geoff made those cans himself at his metal shop. They were powered from a cig lighter and had a mag mount. Those mobiles draw alot of amps at full power so a lill battery pack wont work.

Ghetto way would be just to have brakets, 12v, and an ant. in each vehicle. Swap radios in and out.
