Bob,

All I can say is, that’s only your opinion, and nothing else but your opinion and how can anyone be wrong about what their own opinion is?

So how do I view your politics? ……Well, for the most part (somewhat tongue-in-cheek), I’m in agreement with Michael Savage in thinking that liberalism must be a mental disorder. And with that said….. I just don't UNDERSTAND you, Roger and other adult liberals, but I’m really trying.

I do thank the good Lord that conservatives remain the largest ideological group in U.S. with about 40% of Americans continuing to describe their views as conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. So I believe there is hope for the country after your POTUS leaves.

Lyle Rossiter, who is a clinical and forensic psychiatrist turned his hand to political psychopathology. He’s the author of “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness”, and has diagnosed an alarming percentage of the population as suffering from the grotesque form of mental derangement known by some as moonbattery. Here are some of his nuggets for you to enjoy.

Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded. Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.

A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity — as liberals do. A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population — as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation's citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state — as liberals do.

The roots of liberalism — and its associated madness — can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind. When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious.

With regard to Obama and his “Arab Spring” ….. Last month, James Jeffrey who was Barack Obama's former ambassador extraordinary to Iraq, has this to say about the administration's current record in the Middle East: "We're in a goddamn free fall."

So lets count the mistakes by the Obama’s administration causing this Middle East free fall:

1. Helping overthrow Muammar Qaddafi in Libya, leading to anarchy and civil war.

2. Pressuring Husni Mubarak of Egypt to resign, then backing the Muslim Brotherhood, leading now-president Sisi to turn toward Moscow.

3. Alienating Washington's most stalwart ally in the region, the Government of Israel. Dismissing ISIS as "junior varsity" just before it seized major cities.

4. Hailing Yemen as a counterterrorism success just before its government was overthrown.

5. Alarming the Saudi authorities to the point that they put together a military alliance against Iran.

6. Coddling Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, encouraging his dictatorial tendencies.

7. Leaving Iraq and Afghanistan prematurely, dooming the vast American investment in those two countries.

8. And, most of all….making dangerously flawed deals with the nuclear-ambitious mullahs of Iran.

As far as your comments “Again you take the shallow thoughtless approach” and “Obama defends that position thoughtfully and realistically below. If you can read it without spite you'll have to agree...”

Requiring Iran to recognize Israel as part of a comprehensive nuclear agreement would be a “fundamental misjudgment,” President Obama said...
blah blah blah blah

Just to let you know……..I don’t agree with one word his nonsense. Last week Rep. Louie Gohmert sums it up for me:

"President Obama is exposing the American people to unparalleled danger for the sake of a claimed political deal by allowing one of America’s most committed enemies to move to the brink of possessing nuclear weapons. This desperate legacy ploy not only shatters U.S. credibility in foreign relations, it rewards one of the worst violators of human rights with the most powerful weapon the world knows.

To this point, the negotiations have been completely mishandled. Iran must be convinced that the United States has the will to bomb its nuclear facilities; otherwise, Iran has little incentive to change its past practices. Historic precedent is clear: the weaker our will appears, the more certain future armed conflict with Iran becomes.

Funny you mention slavery and cival rights Bob. You may wanna re-read your history books.

Dems started the KKK. Fought against civil rights.

What current current party still pays women on their staff less on the dollar compared to men.

Look at all the great things liberals have given to the minority communities. Broken promises after broken promise. Does Detroit, NO or any large black populated city ring a bell.

Conservatives dont need to continue to make more bills to show their compassion. They are more incline to uphold the dusty out dated document known as the Constitution.

Bob,

Ouch..... you over stepped in your reply:

The Civil Rights Act -- which is best known for barring discrimination in public accommodations -- passed the House on Feb. 10, 1964 by a margin of 290-130. When broken down by party, 61 percent of Democratic lawmakers voted for the bill (152 yeas and 96 nays), and a full 80 percent of the Republican caucus supported it (138 yeas and 34 nays).

Voting Rights Act. - Voting Rights Act hit the floor in 1965, the vote results mirrored those of the Civil Rights Act. In the House, the measure passed by a 333-85 margin, with 78 percent of Democrats backing it (221 yeas and 61 nays) and 82 percent of Republicans backing it (112 yeas to 24 nays).

Slavery - From what I read in the history books, Republicans have always supported liberty for everyone, opposed slavery, outlawed the KKK in 1873, opposed lynching, opposed Jim Crow segregation laws. Was, and still is, pro-equality, and supported civil rights consistently since the party's inception.

While I'm at it......

Booker T. Washington (1856-1915) African American political leader, educator and author wrote:

"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well."

Could he be talking about these folks? :

Barack Hussein Obama — Community Organizer and 44th and current President of the United States
Alfred Charles "Al" Sharpton Jr. — Civil rights activist and a trusted White House adviser
Eric Himpton Holder, Jr. — 82nd Attorney General, known to be fast and furious
Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr. - Civil rights activist

And then watch this one again............

Bob,

So what you say?

This article was written by Linda Chavez began her career among socialists and labor union officials, teaching in college affirmative action programs and writing political propaganda for the Democratic National Committee..... seems there is a problem.

The Obama administration seems to have taken the old adage about keeping friends close but enemies closer to new extremes, judging from the reaction to the Israeli elections.

The United States has no real friends in the Middle East, save Israel. Our strategic relationships with other governments, from Saudi Arabia to Jordan to Egypt and others, are not true friendships but are based on mutual self-interest. They can change depending on circumstances and players.

We were allied with Egypt under Hosni Mubarak, but abandoned him when the Arab Spring promised new, democratic leadership. Then -- thankfully -- we restrained our support for his successor, Mohammed Morsi, who turned out to be no democrat, despite being elected.

The U.S. relationship with Israel has always been different, owing not to who leads either government, but based on shared values, culture and history. Those ties have been important since the founding of Israel. Harry Truman played a pivotal role in recognizing Israel in 1948 legitimating the Jewish state when much of the world was opposed to its creation.

But history is not the primary reason we have always stood by Israel and must do so today. We are part of the same civilization. Our values are the same, part of a continuing tradition that traces its roots back some 4,000 years. Our Founders understood the profound importance of Judeo-Christian values in the American conception of individual rights, believing a Creator -- not government -- endowed each person with the unalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

President Obama, however, seems oblivious to what makes Israel different from other allies in the region. He seems not to understand the basis on which we have a special relationship with Israel. It goes beyond his repeated personal snubs of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, most recently by delaying calling Netanyahu after his Likud Party’s surprising victory in the Israeli parliamentary elections. Obama was much quicker to make congratulatory calls to tyrants like Vladimir Putin and Iran’s Hassan Rouhani following their elections. The White House seems intent on insulting Netanyahu, but, more importantly, on punishing Israel.

It’s a dangerous game the president and his administration are playing. On Wednesday, anonymous high-level administration officials hinted to Politico that the U.S. might have to rethink the way it deals with Israel, perhaps not opposing U.N. resolutions condemning the Jewish state on settlements and other issues as we always have. Congressional support for Israel is strong enough to make it highly unlikely that the administration could reduce foreign or defense aid. But it is not inconceivable that Israel’s support in Congress could, in the long run, be jeopardized if more Democrats follow Obama’s lead.

Obama is on track to go down as more hostile toward Israel than any president in the past 68 years. It is hard to believe his actions stem from nothing more than personal animus toward Netanyahu. Obama has no trouble reaching out to the likes of Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, writing him a fawning letter back in November. But he can’t seem to bury the hatchet with Netanyahu. Is there more to this than his dislike for one man?

The left has largely abandoned Israel. And unfortunately, Obama is a man of the left. He seems willing to allow his leftist instincts to guide him more openly in foreign policy than in his first term. But those instincts were always there. They are what made him promise as a candidate that he would meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez and Kim Jong Il without preconditions, calling the failure of other presidents to do so a “disgrace.”

But the real disgrace is a president who does not stand by our friends and who would embrace our enemies. Eight years of Obama’s presidency may well leave the United States with fewer friends and will have done little to stop more tyrants from occupying the world stage.
