we had some cheapo hand held walkie talkies when we ran to the river last weekend, worked great for 1/4-1/2 mile range between 3 rigs, anything over 3/4 mile was broken up, just saying.

I only get one chance to get this right. It's hero or zero
Used them when we went on the run from spangler to husky monument, and we were all stretched out pretty good. Hey check the power setting make sure its on 5.

I hope not, just saying we had some little hand helds, 2 AA batteries, we didn't even change the batteries out and we spent 6 hours driving each way, so 12 hours total with good comms. Sometimes simple is easier, especially with your friends being non comms knowledgable peeps, push and talk, easy.
