Default Honda 2000 Question

With the solar panels running the show boat 100%...... I find I rarely start the 2000. Last time I had a hard time getting it to run so I dumped the gas and refueled it. Pulled the cord 10 times before it fired up.

It runs like a top now but I'd like to run it the generator to empty, have it stall out and than store it that way. I'm not inclined to use a fuel saver.

Any downside to doing that?

Read your post and went out and started mine yesterday - 5 pulls.

I put a seafoam mix in her and ran it for an hour running two 500watt halogens

The honda shuts off fuel and ing at the same time. If you want to drain bowl which is what i do, remove cover, and use drain screw on bottom of carb.

Mark,

Any gaskets or rubber that will decompose without the fuel in fuel line, carburetor or system?

I'm thinking of storage for more than one year

Dont think so howie, I would drain fuel out of bowl if your going to store it that long. If I'm not going to use mine for more than a month I drain it. Very easy to do.

If your going to store for more than a year I'd run some Stabil through it, then drain the carb.
