Default In the market for a BB gun

I'd like to find a quality gas powered BB gun/rifle and wondered if any of you have done some homework on this. I still have my Daisy BB gun that I bought when I was 12 years old but I like to get something a little bit more sophisticated for target shooting and plunking varmints.

Buddy Rob who's camping next to me at Glass Creek let me use his Umarex MORPH 3X CO2 Pistol & Rifle. Very cool

Hurry, Decon is gone by July 1st....Bait works!!

Had a rodent get into hauler this year, i can only think it climbed up the shore cord, found dropings first in the cord storage area, my fault for not screening it off from the outside. Sucker died from decon, problem is it died in the heater..

Fuck.....Gotta find it, clean it out, disenfect heater.

Fuck......I now lay down a redunant decon perimeter, screen off every opening and run our electric repeller 24/7.....

Die Rodents, black widows, squirrels, snakes, chipmonks, small birds, ravens and lots of bugs.

I tried the Crossman 12 round CO2 rifle.... it was a toy. I drove back to Big 5 in Gardnerville and returned it. I decided to try the Ruger Air Magnum 1400 fps .177 caliber. They had one left at the store and they let it go for $143.95.. and the box was marked at $239.99

Tomorrow Nick and me are going out to the boonies to shoot cans!

By Amazon Customer:

I recently purchased and tested the new Ruger Air Magnum .177 pellet rifle. To preface my remarks, I will say that I am significantly impressed. I am well acquainted with quality 'magnums' from RWS 350, 34, Beeman 1,7 and 9 etc. They are all top flight with their individual strengths and weaknesses. This however, is a clone... a clone of the RWS 350....very very similar in structure, presence and behavior. HMMMMM...I wonder how similar Umarex was with both production sourcing? It is synthetic stock, well done, solid, somewhat heavy but comfortable with decent blueing. The cocking effort is Substantial....50 plus pounds compared to 30's for a RWS 34, but not dissimilar to the 350. A welded Weaver base is the first intelligent move by a airgun manufacturer to overcome the worst part of all recoil air guns. The recoil and noise are significant, but I did not find it overly hand/hold sensitive and it grouped well with quality Beeman Kodiak 10.2 Match Extra Heavy. The open sites are good...though the simple 4x scope looks fine, I have let this rifle settle in open sites only at this juncture. If you are looking for the FPE in .177 to hunt, accuracy at a very very low price with quite good build quality...grab one of these units while you can. It will be wonderful if it comes out in .22 in the future (hint hint Umarex). The trigger is truly a t05 knockoff..I love it...smooth...short first stage, crisp 2nd stage with no adjustment required...though is adjustable. The safety is excellent and needed (auto)...with easy to release location while aiming. Avoid any pellet under 9 grams, and actually, stay near 10 as that chronys near 1000. Be careful in backstop choice and distance with this remarkable power. This would make a wonderful addition if you had to have 1 hunting rifle in .177, or you are collecting magnums.
