On one trip I had filled my trailer fuel station past Vegas on our way to Tropic Reservoir, Utah. When we pulled into our camp spot I noticed fuel was draining from our trailer. Not a good way to start a trip. I pumped out a couple of gallons and the leak stopped. This "overflow" on the top left is the culprit. Since I'm having welding done on the trailer I thought it best to pull the tank for the safety of those working on our trailer. -And at least now I now what's up with this overflow.
Now you can call me Safety Steve.

Going from a 4 leaf 2,600 lbs springs to 5 leaf 2,900 lbs springs combined with truck tires that grab created new problems. When I back my trailer in to the driveway the leaf springs shifted/ twisted causing failure. I put on some cut box tube ( pictured ) to limit the amount of twisting of the springs. Having done that it shifted the load to the hanger. You can see a crack forming on the hanger. My solution now is to beef up the hangers, sand my driveway to reduce the load on the suspension package and go camping...

Do you thing the triple Axle was a key ingredient to the failure? I've noticed a lot of manufactures have gone to a heavier double axel system. The leverage from the torque of twisting three axels seems like it could take a toll on the hangers.
