Brother picked up a used 2012 BMW 1600 GTL (6k miles $18k)yesterday in Nevada and I got to ride it home. Holy crap what a bad ass motorcycle that thing is Smooth as silk, power out the wazoo and handles like a sport bike. Things got more gadgets and settings than a Bond car. If I was looking for a big touring bike I'd look no further...Super impressed!

I am in love with the Scrambler, it's so much fun to ride!!

The modding begins!!

Put on some fancy billet adjustable clutch and brake levers. Think the black matches better than the stock silver. Pricey at $50 each my cost but really nice product with packaging like it was fine china...

Put on some fancy crash bars from Triumph.

Installed the Triumph "off road only" TORS mufflers. OMG it sounds sooooo much better.

The K1600 is the sickest of sick motorcycles ever built. I had 3 K1200LTs and they were all bad ass machines. I put over 50,000 miles on the three of them (combined).

I'm soooo jealous. Although my street riding days are behind me, if I was getting back into riding this would be my bike. I saw that one on CL.

How's pulling a trailer on a bike Roger? Agree the 1600 is amazing. Ride it before you buy it Duane. I bleed Honda red, but when I rented a wing in Palm Springs I hated it.

As you can see from the pic the Uni trailer has one wheel. The trailer completely articulated with the bike and you could barely tell it was back there. I used to tear up the twisties with that little trailer. I've never pulled a two wheeled trailer.

As far as Gold Wings go, the guy that owned the Harley in the picture above had a 2001 GL1800. We would swap bikes from time to time and I definitely liked the ride of the BMW over the Wing. One thing about the BMW (1200) is once you get the RPMs up it has a power blast and sounds like a Ferrari. The BMW handles twisties waaaaaay better!
