Default Sand Mountain -- Mother's Day Weekend 2014

Had a great trip to Sand Mountain last weekend.

We kept the dirt tires on Friday and went on a 3 hour ride where we explored the desert near the bombing range to the East and snaked up a variety of canyons and washes until we headed back to rig for cocktails and relaxation.

Our friends from Tahoe arrived Friday evening for some fun indulgences and a relatively early to bed (1:00 a.m.) for an early Saturday morning ride. The six of us took off and had a blast. The weather was perfect.

Saturday afternoon was a bust with 70 mph gusts and "dirt clods" raining from the sky. It set up the scene for more drinking and card games... I can think of much worse case scenarios.
You can see the little dirt clods in the pic below. They were on everything.... nothing the truck wash in Fernley (Ferntucky) couldn't handle though.

Sunday proved to be absolutely BEAUTIFUL... the winds on Saturday created Epic riding conditions... Can you say Powder skiing on a quad?!

Great trip!

Thanks Howie... those pics come from Barbara's older HTC Rezound which takes better pictures than my newer HTC One. I'm impressed with that little camera. We had a blast!

Holy shit Howie, if I listed all the old toys I miss it would make my Faux news critique look short in comparison. Funny, besides your two hot rods, all your stuff would be part of my list.
