Default Add a satellite for a 5er

My dad is looking to put a satellite system on their trailer. This is new to both of us. I'm curious what some of you guys have done as an added option after purchase. He wants to hard mount to the roof.

First off, they are with direct tv. We found a winegaurd that's compatible with direct. We know they would need another receiver for the 5er.

We also found a dish monthly service called Wally.

Any input or info you guys have would be great

Got a Direct TV HD dish on my MH. Got the extra box from Direct TV for it at about $10 a month I think. Could also just use the box out of the house but didn't want to fuck with it in and out for $10 a month. Paid about $1500 for the dish and it auto finds satellite. Dislike that it does not show local channels, for instance you can't watch a Niner game unless you buy the NFL package because you don't get local channels. Not sure what they charge for install because I had it installed as part of original MH purchase.

The auto finder from camping world is about $499 + $400 install. The local channels can be found by using the regular antenna on the coach. I thinks its called airwave or something of that nature. Im trying ro talk him out of it just because they dont go often and are only gone for the weekend. I couldnt see them justifying the cost for a few trips a year. But Inthought I'd ask anyway to see what anyone suggest.

Thanks guys

Dish makes a Go Box, $99. It can access everything on our dish hopper dvr at home as long a s we have 4g service where we are camping. It creates its own Wi-Fi, wireless to Diana's cell, then connects to the flat screen with a special hdmi cord bought at Amazon. The Go Box is half the size of a cell phone. It will also hold 100 hours of downloaded content from our Hopper. In full HD. Diana's cell acts as the remote just like at home.

My parents do not have smarts phones to create a hotspot to do this. Im sure it would work the same off the camp grounds wifi.
