Calistoga AMA National Dirt Track Half Mile
Dennis, myself and former a soccer coach of my daughters who's dad raced Flat track all headed down to Calistoga for a National Half Mile race this past weekend. If you've never seen a Mile or Half Mile National and get the chance, GO! Think 100 mph on a Harley, sideways in a corner within inches of each other... Great time and GREAT racing.

Dennis might still be down there glued to this bike, try as we might we couldn't pry him away. Kenny Roberts TZ 750 2 stroke Triple, outlawed soon after it debuted and even scared the shit out of King Kenny. Of course he smoked everyone on it...

Triumph TT, old school dirt bike

Still one of my all time favorite motorcycles, a pristine Rickman BSA

Love the old school Bobbers

Told Denny I was on the caveman diet so he brought back meat on a stick. I thought the Phildo salute was appropriate.
It ain't big around but it's short

Dennis and I both raced TM 125's back in the day

Full Circle..... used to be that a number of manufacturers were involved in Grand National racing, but for the last couple decades the Harley XR 750 was about all you'd see on the track. Not so much anymore, points leader Joe Kopp actually trades off between a Ducati and the Harley he rode this weekend. His ride from last to first in the last chance qualifier was freaking classic! As was his unprovoked signature on the poster I asked him to sign for the FUTV shop "Roll cages are for cars"...

Kopp's Harley's

KTM? Would a thunk it

Not sure? He always talks about getting one, but the e-mails he sent you about bikes a few months back were just part of the Toyhauling Lifestyles web site prank :dude:
